Meet Amy Johnson
|
A theatrical interaction with the famous British female aviation pioneer, Amy Johnson.
Meet our costumed actress in the role of Amy Johnson
Using costume, props and photographs, Amy will transport the children back to the early 20th century and enthrall them with stories of her determination to become a pilot.
She will describe her terrifying solo flight to Australia in the little Tiger Moth aeroplane she named 'Jason' and help them to understand how truly heroic this was for a woman in 1930.
The children will be able to interact with Amy and after listening to the story, ask her questions about this fascinating period in aviation history.
