Castles and Medieval Life
Peasants, Princes and Pestilence

It’s 1374 and the children will meet our costumed Medieval character, Mrs Pethursbury, who has a tale to tell of peasants, princes and pestilence. She is looking for young apprentices to undertake work at the castle on the hill.

She will take your class on a journey back in time to the harsh life in a medieval castle. While in role as young apprentices, they will experience the gruesome truth about feudal society, the structure of castles, deadly diseases, knights and chivalry and the work undertaken by children.

This drama workshop can be adapted to suit all ages in KS1 and KS2.

What teachers say:

"Thank you for the Medieval Castles drama workshop. The children loved it and certainly got a lot from it. The games were brilliant for teaching them about castle life and they loved travelling back in time."

Wood Street School, Guildford

A one hour workshop for up to 30 children in a hall or other large space.
